Open the preview builds.

Your system may ask before the first launch. These steps let Euthymia run.

Why you see a warning

The native previews are not code-signed yet, so macOS and Windows cannot confirm who published them and warn before the first launch. Signing is planned. Until then, every download lists its SHA-256 checksum so you can verify that the file is intact.

macOS

  1. Open the downloaded disk image and drag Euthymia to Applications.
  2. Open Euthymia from Applications. macOS blocks the first launch and says it cannot verify the app. Choose Done.
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down to Security.
  4. Next to the message about Euthymia, choose Open Anyway, then confirm with your password or Touch ID.
  5. Open Euthymia again and choose Open. Later launches start normally.

On macOS 15 Sequoia and later, Control-clicking the app and choosing Open no longer skips this check. Alternatively, run this in Terminal after copying the app to Applications:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Euthymia.app

Windows

  1. If your browser warns about the download, keep it: in Edge choose Keep, then Keep anyway; in Chrome choose Keep.
  2. Run the installer. When Windows protected your PC appears, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. The installer picks the right version for x64 and ARM64 PCs and installs for your account only.

For the portable archive, you can right-click the zip, choose Properties, select Unblock, and extract it. Keep the folder at a stable location before connecting Euthymia to an AI agent, because the connection remembers where the app is.

Linux

AppImage: make the file executable with chmod +x euthymia-*.AppImage, or enable Allow executing file as program in your file manager's properties, then open it.

deb or rpm: install with your package manager, for example sudo apt install ./euthymia-*.deb or sudo dnf install ./euthymia-*.rpm. Euthymia then appears in your applications.

Android

  1. Download the APK on your phone or tablet.
  2. Open it from the download notification or your Files app. The first time, Android asks you to allow installing apps from that browser or Files app; allow it in the settings the prompt opens.
  3. Choose Install. Newer previews install over it and keep your workspaces.

Euthymia needs Android 10 or newer on an ARM64 phone or tablet with Vulkan graphics. Some devices also ask you to allow apps from unverified developers in Developer options before installing. Your notes stay in the app; export a workspace from the workspace menu to copy it to your computer.

Verify a download

Compare the file's checksum with the SHA-256 listed under All downloads:
